The open campus day was held in OCU on August 8 and 9. It have high school students come to university and aims to tell them about the attractions of OCU.
In this open campus day, in forenoon, mainly a faculty introduction was held by each faculty and some faculty held a department introduction. In afternoon, each faculty held a lot of kind of projects. In some faculty, students became a core and carried out projects and its contents were various.In outside the university, like the athletic, there were some organizations, which students became a core and carried out the project too.
Literature Faculty – Mainly Students
Literature Faculty carries out a students’ project every year and this is the 5th times. Students became a core, planned and ran a event and many high school students visited. There were some unique project: “school tour, mawatte iitomo!”, visiting the facilities which mainly literature faculty students use in campus, and “OCU Literature Faculty students’ certain story”, talking with university students about life in OCU.
Economics Faculty – As one of the Three Commercial University
In Economic Faculty, during faculty introduction, some students were talking about a theme, for example “The differences between Osaka City University and Kobe University”, for about ten minutes. “It was easy to understand.” A visiter said and the reputations from high school students were the tops.
Athletic – The First Unique Project
Athletic carried out a event on open campus day for the first time. Until last year, there was a opinion: There were no information about clubs, for example, when, where and what kind of clubs practice, so high school students can’t visit even though they want to. This year, the athletic put up and distributed a list which tells about the practice time and field of each club around the OCU media center, so many high school students could visit the clubs which they were interested in.
